INFORMATION ABOUT THE TREASURER'S OFFICE.

The County Treasurer is an elected constitutional officer with a four-year term of office. The primary function of the Treasurer is to collect taxes certified by the County Assessor from the assessment valuations placed on real estate, personal property, and public utilities in the County.

After collection, the Treasurer disburses the monies to the county, ambulance service, cities, towns and to the schools and vo-techs according to budgets approved by the County Excise Board. The County Treasurer is the official custodian of all funds for the County.

The Treasurer's office also manages County-owned property acquired at annual sales of real estate for delinquent taxes. The Treasurer may also sell these pieces of property, upon approval of the Board of County Commissioners.

Questions regarding property value, ownership or change of address should be directed to the Creek County Assessor at 918-224-4508.

Questions regarding the filing of deeds and affidavits, land record searching and recordkeeping for the County should be directed to the Creek County Clerk at 918-224-4084.

Property Tax General Information

Creek County property tax statements are mailed out each year. If a property owner does not receive a tax statement, contact the Creek County Treasurer's office at 918-224-4501 to obtain a statement.

Tax payments can viewed and payments may be made at the top of this page under "View or Pay Tax Info".

Both full and half payments are due no later than December 31 to avoid penalties. Failure to receive a tax statement does not extend the due date nor does it relieve the owner of payment responsibility.

Please remember - Property taxes are determined from the property VALUE and property VALUE is determined by the County Assessor.
